Academic & Research Background
I have a Phd in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with research focused on taxation and inequality. My academic work explores income and wealth concentration, the political economy of social policy, development and sustainability.
I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence and diversity, bringing multicultural and interdisciplinary perspectives to research and teaching. I am also engaged in the research community, authoring articles, coordinating interdisciplinary working groups, and presenting at major conferences.
Beyond my academic work, I also write travel and culture essays inspired by architecture, history, hospitality, and distinctive destinations around the world. Through these pieces, I explore the intersection of place, culture, and experience, making complex stories accessible to a broader audience.
